Devil’s Tower Full Moon/Blue Moon Walk
March 2, 2018 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm
The full moon provides a beautiful nighttime ambiance. As the brightest object in our night skies, it has been an important fixture in human culture; this includes the Northern Plains Indian tribes who consider the Tower a sacred site. The moon also plays an important role in the natural world.
Explore Devils Tower National Monument by moonlight as you join a ranger for a guided walk around the Tower Trail. Discover how humans and other animals use their senses to adapt to the night life, and learn more about the important role the moon has played in cultural development.
Dress for a cold evening outside. Wear layers and sturdy walking shoes. Be aware that the Tower Trail will likely be covered in snow and ice. Bring a light source, but be respectful with its use – the ranger may ask you to turn it off during the program.
