Holiday Celebration & Winter Market

Head to Main Street Square to usher in the holiday season with a festive celebration, including ice skating and tree lighting. Shop the Winter Market, a collection of local vendors where you are sure to find that perfect handcrafted gift.
Activities at the Square begin with a performance from Black Hills Figure Skating Club at 2 p.m. and a second performance at 4:25 p.m. Shop the Winter Market from 2 to 6 p.m., which hosts a collection of local vendors where you are sure to find that perfect gift. Browse booths showcasing hand-crafted goods, such as custom wood carvings, ornaments, jewelry, home décor, wreaths, jams, honey, and salsas. Enjoy the local sounds of Trap Kit from throughout the event and stop to snap a photo at the NS Inflatables Snow Globe photo booth.
The holidays will come to life when Mayor Steve Allender leads the countdown to light the over 30-foot blue spruce tree at promptly 4:45 p.m. Mayor Allender has proclaimed Saturday, Nov. 27, as Small Business Saturday, joining the Downtown Rapid City Business Group in a nationwide effort to steer shoppers toward local, independently-owned businesses during the holiday season. He will present the proclamation in conjunction with the tree lighting.
