Black Hills Bike Rodeo Experience Standard

It’s true that any deviation from a normal routine can be exciting and fun for children—but it’s equally as true for adults. The crew from Black Hills Parent saddled up and escorted the children of Creative Director John Edwards to school. It was a blast for everyone. Some of us met at John’s house in the morning and were privy to the planning stages—helmets strapped on, musical instruments and lunches placed in the car, a scraped toe analyzed—and we were off. David Duchesneau How many US capitals can grown-ups name when the states are given to them? The birds and their handlers share the uniqueness, adaptations, and habits of raptors through interactive, hands-on, age-appropriate programs. The birds can visit children’s birthday parties,… Read More >>

First, the screening process, which tests language and speech, vision, hearing, small and large motor skills, allows the kindergarten teachers at your child’s school to be ready for the wide spectrum of needs and skill levels of incoming students. It’s important to remember… Read More >>

Full STEAM Ahead Standard

Full “STEAM” Ahead Helping Kids to Succeed at School For years, education experts and legislators have tussled with defining best practices for teaching our students. Still, we’re left with this foundational question: “What does my child need to know to succeed?” With the newest education law, the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA), we’re closer to an answer. You might have heard of STEM—Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math—which in recent years has formed the basis of standardized testing. Our country’s focus on STEM originated from a sense of “competition” with students in other countries who were excelling in these areas. The… Read More >>
