Buffalo Roundup and Arts Festival

Attend the 56th Annual Custer State Park Buffalo Roundup on Friday, September 24, 2021. Watch cowboys, cowgirls, and park rangers as they round up a herd of approximately 1,300 buffalo. Enjoy the three-day Arts Festival, September 23-25, where up to 150 vendors will offer their fine arts and crafts for sale, including many South Dakota-made products. On Friday, parking lots open at 6:15 am, and the Buffalo Roundup begins at 9:30 am. Early arrival is recommended. Breakfast is available at 6:15 am in both viewing areas, and lunch is served at the corrals following the roundup. There is no admission to the Roundup or the Arts Festival, but a park entrance license is required on September 23 and 25.
